In search results and message requests, people often see only your photo, name and headline. LinkedIn often fills the headline with your current job title, which wastes the most visible line. A better headline says what you do, who for and what you want to be found for, in words a recruiter would type.
The About section is where many profiles go wrong: it is empty, or a copy of the CV. A good one opens with the point, is easy to scan on a phone and sounds like a person. Experience entries must agree with your CV on titles, employers and dates, even if the tone is more personal.
You stay in control. We work from text you send and approve, so we never need your password and you should never share it. You paste the final wording in yourself. It should agree with your graduate CV or professional CV.
